Marvell
Visual identity –– Motion direction
Marvell is a semiconductor company that designs and manufactures integrated circuits and semiconductor solutions across several technology sectors.
Objective/Challenge
Create a brand identity that reflects where the strategy and internal culture have evolved to. Differentiate around the experience of working with Marvell.
Solution
The visual identity system underscores the idea of essential building blocks of the future. The logo anchors a strong center that pushes outward. This movement is extended through the visual system. An outward push is balanced by the idea of a customer centric approach and a commitment to high-quality at the center. Tailored solutions and impact are conveyed by juxtaposing images of differing focus and scale. Marvell are all in with you. We unified previously competing employees under a single rallying flag, folding in SanDisk into the WD family, and creating a vibrant new identity for HGST.
Identity system ––
Following new leadership and a multi-year transformation toward infrastructure technology, Marvell required a clearer, more unified story that could absorb a history of acquisitions and reposition the business for a more competitive category.
Identity system ––
The strategic insight was that partnership, not pure specification, could be a true differentiator in an industry that often behaves transactionally. This reframed the role of the brand from describing chips to expressing how Marvell works, specifically a customer-centric approach built on flexibility, dedication, and long-term commitment.
From that foundation came a positioning that elevated Marvell as essential infrastructure for the data-driven world, with “done right” serving as a clear marker of integrity, partnership, and a commitment to delivering the right solution for each customer. This story is brought to life through a launch narrative that celebrates the people, skills, and capabilities behind Marvell, paired with what those capabilities enable in the world.

Identity system ––
The identity system was designed to carry this shift with consistency and authority. It translates the idea of essential technology into a coherent, scalable expression that can unify a broad portfolio while remaining grounded in precision and focus.
Identity system ––
Internal adoption was treated as a core part of the work, not an afterthought. The brand needed to become a shared language across teams so that the story could be told consistently, especially in the formats that matter most in a B2B infrastructure business.
